Women are represented better or worse on TV these days?
I think an important goal of feminism was to show women in the media, but especially on TV, in more realistic ways. It seems almost agreed that the 50 and 60 examples of women on television were universally white, often housewives, and generally very bland. What aspects of this representation do you think have changed for the better? What if nothing has changed for the worse? women are represented more or less respectfully Now on TV that they were represented in the 50 and 60? How this influences the way women should behave in real life?
In Overall, I'd say it's worse. there is Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, and Howard Stern – these are the worst. how they can even be released is beyond me. they are some of the most degrading shows -. there are the stereotypes of men see 3 Beauty & the Geek (women are never presented as the geeks in the media). Then there is the reality shows where many women are fighting for a man. make me vomit. Women are directed to wear low waist shirts (much more on TV today). true, they should fight, but it is hard to fight an industry. women in the videos are half bare, but the men sure is not. Justin Timberlake is resectable in his suit. often, the media will have a man with several wives, but not vice versa. regarding the ads, I just saw the first commercial ever to have men in this case the product is a cleaning. the message has some men and some women, singing and dancing to mopping the floor. the good side, yes, women are represented in roles such as lawyers, doctors, and even the prez of the United States. : –
